Updated: Dec 15, 2021
Summer 2021 brought with it many changes for me— particularly in my style! As you know by now, I launched this new blog and chose to dedicate it solely to dresses, along with my admiration for modest fashion. Take a glance below at my top ten favorite dresses from this summer!
dress 1: a midi for the sea:

This midi dress mixed with various shades of blue and differing floral prints was an instant add-to-cart moment for me! I paired this fit and flared dress with white pointed-toe flats and a navy silk bow.
dress 2: little pink mermaid:

This new Akilah nap dress with its option of on or off-the-shoulder neckline in pink with its adorable mermaid print was a must-have! I paired this smocked beauty with a pearl necklace and cat-eye sunglasses. (Along with the July issue of Vogue).
dress 3: checked match:

I know I am the dress girl, but this is basically a dress, okay? The buttoned cropped top was made to pair with its matching tie-waist midi skirt. I then added gingham heels finished with a small bow on its pointed toe to add more matching! And finally, I completed the look with a bright red bow for a pop of color!
dress 4: my cinderella moment:

I paired my blue and slightly sparkly Ellie nap dress with a lace topper featuring a crystal brooch, silver metallic pointed-toe heels, and a matching sky blue bow. I assume Cinderella would be wearing this nap dress look!
dress five: roses are red:

I bought this dress on a whim, and I honestly can't think of a better adjective for how in love I am with the entirety of this silk midi fixed with a rose on the large ruffle collar. I paired this dreamy blue and red dress with suede slingbacks and a matching red bow.
dress six: vintage daisy:

The vintage feel and daisy print of this floral fit and flare transported me into a 1950's trance. I paired this yellow daisy dress with lace-up wedges and a string of dainty pearls to complete the look.
dress 7: blooming blues:

I knew this dress was made for me when I first saw this airy poplin midi with scattered dainty blooms. I paired this white and blue buttoned-down dress with white espadrille wedges and used the belt tied in my hair! The puff sleeves and eyelet detailing put it over the top.
dress eight: a very bridgerton nap dress:

dress by: hill house
This Nesli nap dress was Bridgerton inspired; need I say more about my desire for this dress? I paired my dress with golden ballet flats, a purse, and a silk bow in a matching lavender hue and pearl earrings. I think I'm ready for my Regency-era debut, right?
dress nine: pink, pink, pink:

This pink floral dress was, of course, begging for more pink to be added! I paired this high neck dress with a hot pink vintage satin handbag, and pink block heeled slingbacks.
dress ten: an embroidered dream:

The last but certainly not least takes the final spot in my summer dress recap. This scalloped hem gown is both my favorite dress of the summer as well as one of my favorite dresses I've ever worn. Decorated with delicate poppy floral embroidery on its beautiful modest silhouette, this gown is super special to me and will always hold a prime spot in my closet. I paired the dress with a light pink petite bow fastened atop my high bun and green satin pumps to match the pink and green florals scattered across the white linen-blend dress.
I may be one of the only ones happy to see summer go! Tights, gloves, hats, and coats. Cashmere, scarves, velvet, and jumpers, bring it on! Be sure to subscribe to stay updated on my fall/winter season's style, and watch me swap my florals for plaids!
